When you log into the Cision Communications Cloud, you must enter a password. You have multiple options to reset your password if you forget it or are locked out of your account, which are explained below.
To Reset Your Own Password
Click on the Forgot Your Password link on the Cision Sign in Page
Enter in the email address associated with your account and click on the Submit button to receive a reset password link via email.
The link will expire after 24 hours.
Password Reset by Admin after Lock-Out
If you incorrectly enter your password 10 times, you will be locked out of the system and will receive a message indicating that you need to contact Cision Support to unlock your account. Please contact our Support team.
Password Reset as a System Administrator
As a System Administrator, you can also reset the password to unlock the account for anyone at your own organization.
Click the Person icon and select the settings menu from the drop down.
Locate the toolbar on the left and select User Management.
Find the names of the individual who needs to reset their password and click on their name.
Scroll down to the password area and click Send Email.
One you click Send Email you will get a pop-up confirmation that will confirm that the password reset email has been sent to the recipient. They will have 24 hours to create a new password or the link will expire.
Advanced PRNewswire Password
The Advanced Password option adds an additional layer of password security if you are using Cision Distribution through PR Newswire, as well as for accounts that want the additional layer of security.
If you have subscribed to PRNewswire, this option is automatically included in your setup.
If you do not have PRNewswire and wish to add this feature on, please contact your Account Manager directly.
Once this feature is enabled your password credentials must contain the following:
Password must contain a minimum of eight (8) characters Passwords must contain at least three (3) of the following:
*English Uppercase letters (e.g., A, B, C, … Z)
*English Lowercase letters (e.g., a, b, c, … z)
*Number ( e.g. 0, 1, 2, 3, … 9 )
*Non-alphanumeric (Special Characters) (e.g., ?.!,#,$,% etc.)
