The following article will guide you through the process of creating an effective Keyword Search that can be used to bring coverage into your system using Boolean Syntax. Additionally, we recommend reviewing our Creating Effective Basic Keyword Searches document prior to creating a search.
To Access the Settings Area of the Platform:
Click on the Person icon in the upper right- hand corner of the screen.
Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
To Create a Basic or Advanced Keyword Search
Find the Keyword Searches panel in the menu on the left-hand side.
Click the + Add News Keyword Search button in the Keyword Searches area in the center of the screen.
Once you select New Search:
You will be presented with a form of fields to use in creating a basic search by default.
Notice that if you proceed with creating a basic search, the Boolean logic used in searching will automatically be added and cannot be changed.
If you prefer to use the advanced search option to incorporate other or additional Boolean logic, turn the toggle for Advanced Search on.
Filling out the Advanced DIY Form Search:

You will then see a sample of coverage that matches your search from the last 30 days.
NOTE: This coverage will NOT be pushed into your system (please use our archive search to find old content) but will give you an idea of what you can expect going forward.
If you need to revise your search for any reason, click Revise Search Criteria.
If you are happy with your results, click Save Search and type in a name. This will bring in all matches to that search into your system going forward.
