News Alert Management
Alert Management will enable you to easily change a variety of attributes associated with the email alerts notifying you of new coverage coming into your Cision Communications Cloud:
Add or remove recipients to your email alerts
Change how the coverage is grouped in the email
Change the frequency of the alerts
Change the time the alert is set to be delivered
Change the days on which you receive alerts
End emails alerts
To make changes in these attributes, click on your profile name located at the top-right corner of the toolbar and select Settings.
Select Alert Management from the Settings Menu.
You will see any news alerts that were created in the data group you are working in.
To edit, select the hyperlinked text in the Alerts section, under Subject.

Once you click into the search associated with the email alert, you will see a few areas to edit. Click on the Next button on each page to proceed to the next page of the news alert wizard.
You can edit whether you want the Alert to contain news from the current data group you are in or for All Data Groups in your system.
To delete an email news Alert, uncheck the box for Receive news from this search via email.
The Select Template page gives you the opportunity to adjust the template for the new email Alert.
The Forward Details page allows you to add or remove email recipients, change the text included in the body of the email, or re-group the coverage included in the email.
The Forward Schedule page will allow you to make changes in the frequency with which you receive the emails, the days on which you receive the emails, the time the email is set to arrive, or set a date to end an alert.
On the Select Template page, you can either select and existing template for the email news alert, or add a custom template that can be used for any content emailed from the platform, including news alerts.
On the Forward Details page, you can change the following:
Edit the Subject line, which will be the Subject for the news Alert email.
Add or change text included in the body of the email.
Edit the Sender's Name and/or Sender's Email, which is where the email will appear to be sent from.
Enter email addresses for any additional recipients who need to receive the alert. Hit return after entering each address.
Note: The Sender's Email will be where any replies to the new alert email will be sent.
Make a selection for how the coverage should be grouped within the email.
Note: Click the X on an email address for anyone whom you need to remove from the alert.
The Forward Schedule page will enable you to modify the following aspects of the release:
Choose whether you want to receive the alert daily or hourly.
Check mark the days on which you would like to receive the alert.
Set the delivery time for the email.
Select whether you want to have email sent on an ongoing basis or have it end on a particular date. Note: If you select End On, a date box will pop up so that you can enter a specific date.
Note: You may select to receive the alert up to twice per selected day(s).
Note: If the saved search associated with the alert is a keyword search, you will not have the option to receive the alert hourly. This will be indicated by a message.
Analytics Alert Management
Analytics alerts send charts and graphs directly to your email inbox on the day and time specified.
To Make Changes to Analytics Alerts:
Click the Person icon in the upper right hand side of your toolbar and select Settings.
Select Alert Management from the Settings Menu.
To delete the Analytics alert all together so that it no longer goes out, click on the trash can icon.
To alter any scheduled Analytics alerts, click on the blue hyperlinked text under the Subject column.
Once you click on the Subject of the alert you would like to adjust a pop up will appear.
This pop up will allow you to edit:
The subject of the Analytics email alert.
The recipients of the Analytics email alert.
Any message you would like to generate within the body of the email.
Which days that the email will be sent to the recipients.
What time the alert will be sent each selected day.
Whether you would like this to be an ongoing email alert or would like it to end on a certain date.
To save your adjustments, click Save.
