You can gain valuable information about your Social Media profiles and site traffic in the Insights tab of the Cision Communications Cloud platform. The Facebook and Twitter options in the Insights tab can be used to view additional information about your posts or tweets. You must have a Facebook or Twitter account integrated into the platform in order to see data in these two sections.
The Outlet Conversions option can be used to analyze the traffic that outlets in the Cision Media Contacts database are bringing to your website. You must have a Google Analytics account integrated in order to see data in this section.
Facebook Insights
You can gain valuable insights about your Facebook page through the Cision Communications Cloud as long as you have a connected Facebook account. The insights gathered in this section reflect the last 28 days of Facebook posts. The data that we receive is the same data available in your Facebook account but you can view additional details about that social data in your Cision Communications Cloud platform.
Access the Facebook Insight charts page:
Click the Insights tab.
Click the Facebook option.
Facebook Insights Charts:
Facebook Page Views: The number of times your Facebook page was viewed on a given day.
Referral Sources: The sources outside of Facebook sending you the most visitors.
My Facebook Page Likes: The total number of ‘Likes’ for your page.
Followers-Age: The age breakdown of users who ‘Like’ your page.
Followers-Gender: The gender breakdown of users who ‘Like’ your page.

My Facebook Posts-Reach: The number of times people see your posts in their news feed broken down by type of post.
Engagement: The types of posts that are generating the most engagement. Engagement includes link clicks, photo views, video plays, and other clicks (likes, shares, and comments).
Additional Stories Generated: The number of times people have shared one of your stories with their friends on a given day. This includes when people like your page, post to your wall, like, comment, or share one of your posts, answer a question you posted, RSVP to one of your events, mention your page, photo tag you or check in at your location.
Storyteller Demographics: The gender breakdown of the people sharing your story with their friends.
Selecting a Custom Insights View
You can change the view of charts that you see on the Insights dashboard. To change the view:
In the upper-right hand corner, click on the upside-down triangle next to All Facebook Insights Data.
Select the section of the dashboard charts that you wish to view.
If you have selected a view other than All Facebook Insights Data, only the charts included in the section you selected will show.
Creating a Facebook Insights Report
You can create a report that includes any combination of Facebook Insight charts. If you have selected a particular dashboard view, your reporting options will be limited to the charts in the selected view. However, if you are viewing All Facebook Insights Data, you will have the option to include any or all charts from the dashboard in the report.
Click the Download button in the upper left- hand corner of the page.
Complete the form that is presented to create the Report.
Select either PDF or DOC file format.
Give the report a title (required).
Enter a subtitle (if preferred).
Choose your preferred layout for the report (optional).
If you would like to include a cover page, toggle the option to "On". You can also upload your own logo for the report.
Click Next on the bottom right to move to the next page.
Select the graphs you want to include in your report.
Click the Download button on the bottom right to complete your download.
Twitter Insights
You can gain valuable insights about your Twitter home page through the Cision Communications Cloud as long as you have a connected Twitter account. The data that we receive is the same data available in your Twitter account, but you are able to view additional details about that social data in your Cision Communications Cloud platform.
Click the Insights tab.
Click the Twitter option.
Twitter Insights Chart
My Tweets: Your Tweets and Retweets on a given day.
My Top Tweets: Your tweets that have been re-tweeted the most.
My Total Mentions: Number of mentions you have received on a given day
Users Who Mention Me the Most: Users who mention you the most by their handle, number of mentions, and followers
Trending Topics: Trending topics in your area. The most prominent topics are displayed in a larger font.


Selecting a Custom Insights View

Outlet Conversions
The Outlet Conversions tab will show all of the Outlets that have contributed referrals to the website you are tracking through Google Analytics. However, in order to see this data, you will need to connect your Google Analytics account in the Settings area of the platform.
Accessing Outlet Conversions
Click the Insights tab.
Click the Outlet Conversions option.
This will show a list of outlets that have driven traffic to your website during the past 30 days. Notice that you can view the data and/or download the data presented on this page. It is important to note that this data will only show referring outlets that are part of the Cision Communications Cloud database.
Listed below are definitions of each column you will find with Google Analytics.
Google Analytics Fields
Outlet Name: The outlets from Cision’s media database that are sending traffic to your website
Domain: The domain for the Outlet that sent traffic to your website.
Count of Referrals: The number of referrals received from that Outlet.
Goal Completions: Goals measure how well a site or app fulfills target objectives. A goal represents a completed activity, called a conversion, that contributes to the success of your business.
Revenue: Measurement of the number of transactions and revenue that your website generates. This will show where users click on purchase buttons and pull transaction details for hard ROI on receipts of purchase.
Page Views: Recorded every time a page is viewed. When a visitor hits the back button, hits refresh, every time a page is opened in the browser, regardless of whether it has been cached. Average Session (seconds): How long were users on the website page? Do they immediately bounce to another page or linger on the homepage?
Bounces: A visit with a one-page view. It doesn’t matter how long the visitor was on the page or how they left.
New Users: A visitor who did not have Google Analytics cookies when they hit the first page in this visit. New Users also include non-interaction events.
Downloading Outlet Conversion Data as a Report
To download a report of referrals and related data to your tracked site for the past 30 days, follow the steps below.
Click the Download button in the upper left-hand corner.
A CSV file containing the data will automatically download. If you do not see the file download automatically, you will want to check your browser setting to ensure that pop-ups from Cision are
